A thank-you breakfast was held for the philanthropist businesspeople from Yeniçağa who contributed to the heating system conversion of BAİBÜ Yeniçağa Yaşar Çelik Vocational School.

The breakfast program held at the Yeniçağa Yaşar Çelik Vocational School student cafeteria was attended by Yeniçağa District Governor Nurhalil Özçelik, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı, Mayor Recayi Çağlar, Yeniçağa Mufti Hasan Dinç, philanthropist businesspeople, and academics.

“A SAFE AND ECONOMICAL SYSTEM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED”

The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Bahattin Öztoprak, Director of Yeniçağa Yaşar Çelik Vocational School. Öztoprak expressed his gratitude to the businesspeople from Yeniçağa for their contributions, support, and attendance at the program during the transition of the school's heating system from coal-based to natural gas. He stated:“Our school was heated by a coal system, and we have now completed the transition to a natural gas system. We activated the heating system before the winter season. During this period, we observed savings in fuel and electricity consumption. Thanks to you, our valuable donors, a healthy, safe, and economical system has been established for our school. Additionally, we are renovating the area previously used as a coal storage room and converting it into a classroom. This will create a new classroom for 70 students. Thus, with your contributions, we have achieved significant gains for our school. We sincerely thank you for your support.”

OUR UNIVERSITY'S NEW MOTTO: "THE UNIVERSITY OF PHILANTHROPISTS"

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Alişarlı, the Rector, began his speech by thanking the philanthropists for their participation and support. Alişarlı said, “Our university had a motto: ‘A University at the Heart of Nature.’ Now, thanks to you, we are adding another to it, and we call our university the ‘University of Philanthropists.’ The legacy of philanthropy that began with the late İzzet Baysal continued with the late Yaşar Çelik and the late Mehmet Tanrıkulu, and may God grant long life to Mr. Ahmet Baysal, Mr. Ali Ericek, and Mr. Süreyya Astarcı, and with you, dear philanthropists here, this journey continues. On behalf of all of you, we are grateful to all philanthropists. We pray for mercy on those great benefactors who have passed away; may their souls rest in peace. We also wish long life to the philanthropists who are still with us.” Rector Alişarlı emphasized that every initiative established through the unity of the nation and the state is more valuable and lasting.

RECTOR ALIŞARLI INVITED PHILANTHROPIC BUSINESSPEOPLE TO BATIKAF.

Rector Alişarlı informed the philanthropists about the Western Black Sea Career Fair, which will be hosted by BAİBÜ on March 25-26 with contributions from the Presidential Human Resources Office. He emphasized that the fair’s benefits and contributions will be very important for our Bolu region. Alişarlı said, “We also invite you, esteemed businesspeople, to our fair. At the fair, we bring together the business world with our students and graduates, enabling sectors to reach qualified personnel they seek, and opening the way for our students and graduates to meet representatives from their target industries. Additionally, representatives of the business world will have the opportunity to network with each other, fostering new collaborations. Therefore, the gains from such fairs are invaluable for our country. For these reasons, I especially invite you, esteemed businesspeople, to attend BATIKAF.”

HEATING SYSTEMS WERE INSPECTED ON SITE.

After the plaque presentations, the upgraded heating systems were inspected on site. Director Dr. Lecturer Bahattin Öztoprak provided information about the system’s features. The District Governor, Rector, and philanthropist businesspeople visited the students in their classrooms. The delegation met with the students individually and spent some time conversing with them. They also toured the vocational school’s laboratories and received information from the academic staff. The program concluded with a group photo session.
